Ottavia Piccolo (born 9 October ) is an Italian actress.[1]
Biography
Born in Bolzano, Piccolo began her acting debut in the stage adaption of The Miracle Worker at the age of 11 under the direction of Luigi Squarzina.[2] She has also appeared in 45 films since , making her debut film appearance in the film The Leopard.
In , she met Giorgio Strehler who directed the stage adaptations of Brawling in Chioggia and King Lear, both of which she appeared in. In , she won the award for Best Actress at the Cannes Film Festival for the film Metello.[3]
In addition to working in Italian cinema, Piccolo has also has some rare success in French cinema.[4
